Designed for 50 way flat ribbon cable. The suppression sleeve comes as a split pair with two end clips to hold it together. These devices are designed to suppress high frequency (fast rise time) interference (and radiation) to and from PC boards, printers, disk drives etc. The ferrite makes the cable behave like a high impedance choke at high frequencies.
